Help Flying Anvil Theatre Go to Charleston

Knox Crowdfunding Plea of the Month:

Send Flying Anvil Theatre to Piccolo Spoleto

Co-founded by Jayne Morgan and Staci Swedeen, Flying Anvil Theatre is Knoxville’s newest tiny theater company—but it recently got a big honor: an invitation to present Swedeen’s Pardon Me For Living: A Biting Comedy at the 2013 Piccolo Spoleto Festival. Piccolo Spoleto is an offshoot of Charleston, S.C.’s mega-popular Spoleto Festival, with a more specific focus on artists of the Southeast region. Swedeen’s one-woman show explores the human condition via multiple characters after a “harrowing attack by a rabid raccoon.” This is just the sort of drama (actually Flying Anvil’s debut production last year) that demands a national stage. Help Flying Anvil raise $3,300 at to pay for travel expenses, lodging, posters, and theater rental fees.
