Friday, April 5

Community Fair

4 p.m.-7 p.m., Ashley Nicole Playground at Caswell Park (620 Winona St.). Free.

Get to know your community programs! The city’s Community Development Department is hosting this informational festival featuring booths from community agencies and nonprofits. Plus, there’s free food, children’s activities, and lots of dialogue and networking.

Sunday, April 7

Sex Week UT

7:30 p.m., University Center Auditorium. Free.

It’s finally here—Sex Week at the University of Tennessee! As well publicized by our state legislators, Sex Week is a daily presentation of sex education topics. It kicks off with keynote speaker Megan Andelloux, director of the Center for Sexual Pleasure and Health in Rhode Island, with a speech titled “Big Orange, Big... ;)”.

Thursday, April 11

Soul on the Square

7 p.m.-10 p.m., Latitude 35 (16 Market Square). $60-$100.

R&B-loving WUTK radio host Hubert Smith is hosting this soul extravaganza to benefit Redeeming Hope Ministries, the Fort Sanders-based outreach group for Knoxville’s homeless.
