“Faith Working for Human Rights”
3 p.m.,Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church (2931 Kingston Pike).
This interfaith forum features guest speaker the Rev. Mark Kiyimba, founding minister of the first Unitarian Universalist Church in Uganda. He’ll be discussing the extremely homophobic atmosphere in his native country, including efforts to make homosexuality a crime punishable by life in prison or death. He’ll also be speaking at Maryville College Monday at 7 p.m. in Lawson Auditorium, Fayerweather Hall.
