Family Action Tennessee has released its ratings for legislative candidates, advising “family values” voters whom they should support. Each candidate gets a percentage rating.
On the list for state House races?
David Hawk, a Greene County Republican who has been charged with assaulting his wife, got a 100 percent rating from the group.
Curry Todd, a Shelby County Republican who has been charged with drunk driving and possession of a handgun in his car, got a 92 percent rating from the group.
Jim Cobb, a Hamilton County Republican who was charged with assaulting a woman in a wheelchair on primary election day, got a 100 percent rating from the group.
The ratings are not based on the legislator’s private life, of course, but on their votes on bills supported or opposed by the religious conservatives.
