After settling with Gannett to keep local programming like WBIR, the DISH satellite network has finally settled with the owners of the AMC channel. That means local customers can again get Emmy-award winning shows like Mad Men, Breaking Bad and the Walking Dead.
The satellite service has had a series of disputes over the amount of money it will pay for programming. The Gannett dispute went to the midnight deadline before preserving 19 local broadcast channels. The AMC deal also includes the sister Independent Film Channel.
