Knoxville Mayor Madeline Rogero will be arguing that environmental stewardship and economic development go hand in hand when she reviews a book for the Knox County Public Library’s Brown Bag Green Book series.
Rogero is the speaker for Wednesday’s (Oct. 17) program at the East Tennessee History Center. She will be reviewing Emerald Cities by Joan Fitzgerald.
Fitzgerald argues that dense populations, public transportation, and other factors makes cities good candidates for sustainable development.
