Ed Westcott is lucky if his Oak Ridge photos have finally been attributed to him. [“Ed Westcott’s Secret City,” cover story by Chris Barrett, Nov. 15, 2012] My father, Ward Bandy, worked in the photo departments at ORNL and Y-12 from 1955 to 1990. Despite his award-winning photography, he was never given credit for his work. When I would see his work printed in a scientific journal or a textbook, it usually gave credit to “Department of Energy.”
