Husky-voiced adult-alternative hunk Erick Baker is preparing to release his second album, Goodbye June, due out on June 26. He’s promoting the new disc with an extensive summer tour that will take him to medium-sized clubs up and down the East Coast in June and July. He’ll play some shows with Knoxville singer/songwriter Jill Andrews and open some dates of the tour for Edwin McCain.

The new disc, produced by ex-Uncle Tupelo/Wilco drummer Ken Coomer in Nashville, is already getting support from WFIV, which has the lead single, “In Love With a Lie,” in rotation.

Baker, who sang in the original lineup of techy alt-rock band Down From Up, sold out his annual Valentine’s week show at the Bijou Theatre in February. His closest shows on his summer tour are scheduled for Asheville on June 15 (at the Orange Peel with McCain) and June 30 (at the Grey Eagle) and in Chattanooga on July 12.
