An all-star lineup of Knoxville musicians (including Jill Andrews, Robinella, Cruz Contreras, and Erick Baker) headlines the first installment of the Square Room’s monthly Scruffy City Roots concert series. Scott Miller returns to Knoxville to serve as emcee, and our own Jack Neely will interview artists between sets.

KHFF presents a screening of Brandon Trost’s parody about a post-apocalyptic world where gangs settle their differences through lethal dance duels. There will be a dance-off after the film, so bring your sweatbands and leg warmers!

Knoxville 100 Health Expo
9 a.m.-1 p.m., Cansler Family YMCA (616 Jessamine St.). Free.
Sponsored by the 100 Black Men of Greater Knoxville, this community health fair will provide free screenings and info for everything from blood pressure to prostate cancer.

City Budget Hearings
1 p.m.-4 p.m., City County Building in Room 453
Curious about who wants how much of your tax dollars? Mayor Rogero will be receiving budget requests and presentations from city department heads for the 2012-13 fiscal year.
Knox County Commission Meeting

Will lame-duck County Law Director Joe Jarret have his rescinded resignation ignored as requested, or will somebody remember it?
