—Knox County Law Director Joe Jarret, from a March 18 letter sent to county commissioners explaining how they should just ignore his earlier resignation. He had previously announced he was leaving March 31, well before his newly elected successor, Richard Armstrong, was to take office in September. Armstrong declined to take office early.
