The Shed, the classic-rock outdoor music venue adjacent to Smoky Mountain Harley-Davidson in Maryville, has announced the first round of its spring and summer lineup of Friday and Saturday concerts.
A new series of free Friday shows, scheduled for the second Friday of each month through September, starts with local blue-collar rockers Mic Harrison and the High Score (who have a new album, Still Wanna Fight, due in the spring) and openers Hillbilly Jedi on April 13. South Carolina folk-country duo Shovels and Rope will perform on May 11, and Knoxville soul/R&B/blues experts Jenna and Her Cool Friends are scheduled for June 8. The Friday shows start at 6 p.m.
The Shed’s regular concerts kick off on April 7 with zombiefied guitar hero Unknown Hinson and bluesman Lefty Williams, followed by AC/DC tribute band Big Gun with Cream Cheese (April 14); Virginia roughhouse bluegrass band the Hackensaw Boys (April 21); FM radio hero Eddie Money (April 27); Tim Reynolds and TR3 (April 28); the Monsters of Southern Rock Tour (May 5); Jason and the Scorchers (May 12); Mustang Sally (May 19); Marty Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives (May 25); and Blackberry Smoke (May 26).
