Newt, Campfield Like Drug Testing

Great (?) minds think alike?

State Sen. Stacey Campfield is proposing a bill this session to drug test people in Tennessee who get public assistance. It is one of those popular issues on talk radio, regardless of the cost and the implication for poor children and the attitude of the federal government, which provides much of the public assistance.

Campfield is state co-chair of the Newt Gingrich presidential campaign. You are not likely to be surprised that an element of Gingrich’s campaign platform is nationwide drug testing for anyone on public assistance. Perhaps we should start testing state senators while we’re at it.

I fully support this idea but feel that ALL public servants, politicians, office holders, etc. should be included.

It's all about "for thee, but not for me" with these guys. Hypocrites.
