Harriman Explores Ghost Tourism

While the city of Harriman is nearing completion of its Princess Theater reconstruction in an effort to revitalize its downtown, municipal leaders are also apparently turning to the dead for new life. According to a Reuters report, last week the City Council there voted to allow Ghost Hunters of Southern Tennessee—G.H.O.S.T. Paranormal—to post a video (presumably of ghosts) on the online Paranormal Network from a night spent at the town’s foreboding Temperance Building. Councilman Buddy Holley is quoted as saying he hopes the ghostly evidence will spur tourism and help with the building’s ongoing restoration.
