Vanderbilt Brabson IV Another GOP Candidate?

Vanderbilt Brabson IV has been sounding out support for a run for the state House seat being vacated by state Rep. Harry Tindell. Brabson is an African American Republican and would be running in the primary against Gary Loe, who has told the party he is running for the nomination.

Brabson’s father, Vanderbilt Brabson III, is the author of the novel The Gatekeeper.

On the Democratic side, Gloria Johnson—chair of the Knox County Democratic Party—is expected to be the candidate.

i must say this is interesting, but i met some republican naacp members before so i don't think that would be an issue. I see it as a way of combating the democrats rather then support them. as far as his internship it doesnt matter how he got it, he got it. the old saying goes, its not about what you know it's who you know. I wanna see how he does.
