Outside a power outage, the most contact Knoxville Utilities Board has with customers is its sometimes controversial tree-trimming program. The utility has launched a consumer-information effort with mail-outs to neighborhoods with maps and information on how the program works.
The mail-out gives websites and phone numbers for information from the “Vegetation Management Staff” and says you can always contact the Vegetation Management Customer Advocate for dispute resolution, should you and the tree trimmers have a different of opinion on the shearing of your dogwood or magnolia tree.
