“Knoxville needs to build a more robust economy. High-paying jobs in fields like technology, education, entertainment, art, and fashion, power development, robotic manufacturing, and other industries will bring in people and much needed revenue. I know we have a new business recruitment division in the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce, but it’s been awhile since I’ve seen news about big companies wanting to come here. Knoxville needs to make sure that department is sufficiently funded so they can proactively pursue excellent companies and persuade them of the benefits of being part of the Knoxville business community.”
—Charles Montgomery, Knoxville native and business professional with 20-plus years of experience in manufacturing, technology, and media industries
