Beardsley Farm Announces Fifth Snow Day Fund-Raiser

Beardsley Community Farm’s Snow Day benefit is turning into a local post-holiday season tradition—the farm has just announced the fifth edition of the one-of-a-kind concert/beard contest/silent auction/soup contest fund-raiser, set for Friday, Jan. 25, at Barley’s Taproom & Pizzeria in the Old City.

The music lineup for Snow Day includes Marina Orchestra, the Mutations, Lil Iffy, Kukuly and the Gypsy Fuego, Kelle Jolly, Crispy Watkins and the Baby Heart String Band, and Red Shoes and Rosin. Local contributors to the silent auction so far include Colvin Family Farm, the YMCA, Highland Manor Inn, Greenlee’s Bicycle Shop and the Kickstand (formerly the Knoxville Bike Collective), and AC Entertainment. The Plaid Apron, the Bistro at the Bijou, Organicism Farms and Foods, and Just Ripe will take part in the soup contest.

Admission is $7. A ticket for the soup contest is an additional $3.
