What people are writing about Knoxville on the Web

According to’s Sleepless City Index, Knoxville took second place in its ranking of the top 100 markets. The sleep-info site—sponsored by pillow and mattress-pad purveyor Carpenter Co.—analyzed data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s annual Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System Survey to rank the nation’s most sleep-deprived cities, using data from 188,795 respondents. According to the survey, Knoxvillians do not get enough sleep for an average of 10 days per month, and 24.1 of us don’t get enough sleep “more than half the time.” No wonder everyone’s so cranky.
