Tennessee’s religious conservatives are being exhorted to vote conservative in today’s election. They also are being urged to eat at Chick-fil-A to support its president’s anti-gay marriage stance.
Dan Cathy has been outspoken in his views, and some gay-rights organizations and big-city mayors have urged a boycott of the chicken chain. David Fowler, a former Tennessee state senator, heads the Family Action Council. He sent out e-mails to members this week urging them to eat at the restaurants in support of Cathy’s support for traditional marriage. Wednesday was “Eat at Chick-fil-A” Day.
Make your dining choices accordingly.
