I spent years wandering downtown with Mark Lamb and did two of the Walk With Angels site-specific dance performances there, and we came up with a lot that Knoxville needed back then. The wonderful, beautiful, exciting thing is, most of what Mark and I dreamed of back 10 or more years ago is now happening! Downtown is a thriving, vital community. How much do I love seeing the kids who live downtown playing on Market Square? How much do I adore Just Ripe being right downtown and thriving? The only add I can think of is something that more closely resembles the Greenbelt/Greenway in Maryville. That downtown community needs to be able to bike/walk/push strollers farther afield—to North Knoxville, Fountain City, and Bearden, for instance.

Wouldn't mind seeing a trail leading into Old North Knoxville, but I can't think of an extremely safe path. And to be fair, the third creek trail seems to fit the bill otherwise.
