A new Thursday residency at Pilot Light hosted by Tim and Susan Lee will introduce some of the couple’s favorite local and regional performers to an early-evening audience.
The series, which runs Thursdays through October, starts on Oct. 6 with Wil Wright, Brian Waldschlager, and Charlie Faye, a singer/songwriter from Charlotte, N.C. Upcoming headliners include Ass Ponys frontman Chuck Cleaver (with opening sets from Henry Gibson and Todd Steed) on Oct. 13; Westside Daredevils on Oct. 20; and R.B. Morris (with North Carolina singer Angela Faye Martin and Will Fist) on Oct. 27. The music starts at 7 p.m. to make room for regular late-night Pilot Light shows. The Lees will play a short duo set before the main acts start. There will be a small cover to pay travel costs for out-of-town bands.
