24-Hour Campaigning Can Present Problems

Mayoral candidate Mark Padgett did a 24-hour marathon of campaigning just before the election. The campaign might have had a hard time finding people to appeal to in the middle of the night.

During Congressman Van Hilleary’s campaign for governor, he did a 24-hour marathon. After working a third shift change at a plant, the entourage hit the interstate and pulled into the parking lot of a national chain specializing in breakfast food.

Guys in suits with a state trooper escort parked and headed for the door. When they entered, the place was deserted. Seems all the employees exited through the back door, fearing an immigration roundup.
