Straight Line Stitch Named to Download Festival Lineup

Veteran Knoxville band Straight Line Stitch’s climb up through the national metal ranks will get a little help this summer, when the band will perform at the gigantic Download Festival in Donington Park, England, alongside Def Leppard, System of a Down, Alice Cooper, and Rob Zombie.

“I feel by us being added to Download that we’ve been handed a huge opportunity,” singer Alexis Brown says in a press release. “I can’t wait to see what lies in store. The lineup is pretty sick, too.”

After the Download Festival, the band—which recently added Kris Norris, formerly of Darkest Hour, on guitar—will tour with Megadeth, Godsmack, and Disturbed on the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival Tour.

Straight Line Stitch will release its third album, The Fight of Our Lives, on March 22 on E1 Music. The band has also just completed a video for “Conversion,” the first single from the new album, which should be released soon.
