Metro Pulse’s series of free happy hour shows at Pilot Light, which kicked off back in April with a set by the local orchestral chamber pop ensemble Shortwave Society, returns later this month with a free performance by the garage-punk band Big Bad Oven. For those of you who don’t like to stay out late (but still want to discover fresh, local music), the band will play at on Thursday, June 23, at 6 p.m.
Big Bad Oven will be followed by the Afropop-inspired Marina Orchestra on July 28 and Hey OK Fantastic on Aug. 25.
