Locals at Bonnaroo: Fine Peduncle and Metro Pulse Winners

Some years Bonnaroo showcases a lot of Knoxville bands, some years it doesn’t. This year the gigantic AC Entertainment-organized festival in Manchester, which runs June 9-12, has only booked one local artist. But Cole Murphy, who performs as the one-man electro-soul/hip-hop machine Fine Peduncle, has the magnetism and tunes to make Bonnaroo his big breakthrough—his slinky, smart music and hypnotic performances make him one of the most exciting Knoxville acts of the moment. Murphy will play at noon on Saturday, June 11, at the On Tap Lounge.

Five lucky Metro Pulse winners will have a chance to see Fine Peduncle, along with headliners Eminem, Arcade Fire, Buffalo Springfield, Widespread Panic, and more: Cindy McDaniel, who won two VIP passes, and Nathan Young, Heidi Watson, Payden Moore, and Dawn Welsh, who each received one a pair of general admission tickets.
