Who would have thought that a story on a college textbook could be so fascinating! [“The Right Words,” cover story by Brooks Clark and Cari Wade Gervin, June 16, 2011] I am a 1988 graduate of the University of Tennessee with a degree in English and am very familiar with the Harbrace Handbook. It still holds a proud place on my bookshelf and is one of the few textbooks that I actually kept after moving on into the real world. I am also a little embarrassed, but now happy to learn what all of the 9s on the front cover of the Handbook meant!
