The Clayton Center for the Arts in Maryville is getting in on the summer music concert series business with its brand-new 2011 Friday Nights Live Music Series, which is exactly what it sounds like. The series started last weekend with a performance by the Bill Swann Trio and continues on Friday, July 8, at 8 p.m. with Sevier County husband-and-wife mountain music duo Boogertown Gap. That’s followed by R.B. Morris (July 15); Knoxville bar band 3CD (July 22); classical guitarist Bill Bolt (July 29); Americana band Pistol Creek Catch of the Day (Aug. 5); Maryville bluegrass quartet Six Mile Express (Aug. 12); jazz guitar, violin, and bass trio Barry Roseman and Friends (Aug. 19); and the Ensemble Swing Time Band, a 16-pice big band from Knoxville (Aug. 26). All shows start at 8 p.m. Tickets are $10 and are available at claytonartscenter.org or (865) 981-8590.
