There’s been a shift in local flackdom.
Harlow Summerford, a WATE reporter and sometimes anchor, has joined the staff of Congressman Jimmy Duncan. Summerford came to WATE from a weekend anchor position at a Tri-Cities station in August 2007.
Jonathan Griswold, a legislative aide, has left Duncan’s staff to go to work for County Mayor Tim Burchett. Griswold is community outreach manager for the mayor, similar to the constituent service he did for Duncan. His specialty is cutting red tape.
