As we reported last week, a group of angry parents, pastors, and Catholic diocese officials are preparing to besiege the Knox County school board at its March 2 meeting with the intent of chasing Planned Parenthood and its sex education curriculum out of local schools. The group has organized partly via a Facebook page called No Planned Parenthood-Knox County Schools, which had 110 members as of Tuesday. Meanwhile, a separate group has arisen in response, urging parents to contact school officials and attend the board meeting to support Planned Parenthood. That one’s called Sane Parents of Knox County, and as of Tuesday its Facebook page showed 116 members. March 2 could be interesting.
