World Series (of Poker) Comes to Cherokee

All it took was a state-of-the-art, 3,000 seat Event Center (opened last Labor Day) and the most advanced PokerPro tournament technology by PokerTek, and Harrah’s Cherokee Casino & Hotel has hit the jackpot, hosting a World Series of Poker May 6-15, bringing the event to North Carolina for the first time ever. The schedule throughout the 10 days of WSOP includes live action tournaments and events for poker players of all types. The May 13-15 $1,075 buy-in tournament winner will receive a $10,000 seat at the 2011 WSOP in Las Vegas and a cash prize.
