In the Metro Pulse March 31 edition, Bob Davis asked for additional solutions to his Henley Street idea. [“Henley Street Solution,” Letters] At least 10 years ago, I recommended SMARTRAM (see villagetechnology.com) as a solution to downtown parking and people-moving requirements. Due to the grid restrictions, I recommended its use on Clinch Avenue from 20th Street to Gay Street. Also on Church Avenue from the Convention Center to the Coliseum Parking Garage as well as on Gay Street from Magnolia Avenue to the Gay Street Bridge.
