Knox County will continue to benefit from extra Sunday beer taxes. Cash-strapped Jefferson County considered a resolution to allow Sunday beer sales and keep the taxes at home. But opposition from church groups led the County Commission to vote against allowing Sunday sales 18-3, so thirsty residents on Sunday will continue to drive to stores in Knox County. Though they can buy beer in their own county for the other six days.
