Argentinum Astrum Shows Off Slimmer Lineup

The new, slimmer version of local black/doom metal band Argentinum Astrum makes its Knoxville debut this weekend at the Longbranch Saloon, where they’ll be playing with Philadelphia synth-metal wizards Mose Giganticus, touring in support of their new album Gift Horse, released on Relapse Records in June. The show starts at 9 p.m. and also features Deadsea, the Emotron, and Hellbender.

After a couple of years as a four-piece band, Argentinum Astrum has trimmed down to a trio—Andrew Morrill on guitar and vocals, Emily Robinson on bass, and Andy Kohler on drums. The new lineup will also play at Relix Variety Theatre on Central Street on Friday, Oct. 29, alongside the Knoxville Horror Film Festival’s screening of the acclaimed black-metal documentary Until the Light Takes Us.
