Alan Sherrod, our fine-arts writer, has been awarded a fellowship by the National Endowment of the Arts to enter their Arts Journalism Institute in Classical Music and Opera. Only 23 arts writers from around the country were selected, and this month Alan will be joining reporters from publications like The Seattle Times, Los Angeles Times, LA Weekly, and Baltimore’s City Paper for 10 days of immersive study at the Columbia School of Journalism in New York. Such national recognition is a testament to Alan’s efforts here at Metro Pulse and we heartily congratulate him.
