The guessing game over potential members of incoming Gov. Bill Haslam’s administration continues, but two names seem to be on everyone’s lists and both are former legislators.
Former state Rep. Joe McCord, from Blount County, did not seek re-election, which left friends and fellow legislators puzzled. He was an effective and popular legislator who would have easily won re-election. Former state Rep. Susan Lynn from Wilson County lost a bid for the state Senate in the primary. She then campaigned full time for Haslam and acted as his liaison to various Tea Party groups. The two are mentioned for a variety of jobs, from commissioner of a department to legislative liaison for the new governor.
