Kroger has purchased a large tract of land at the corner of Cedar Bluff Road and Kingston Pike for a new store. The supermarket chain already has a store just west of the intersection at Marketplace shopping center, but it is an early and smaller version of the kind of store the company builds now.
The 20-acre site, on the west side of Cedar Bluff Road, will be much larger and will include gas pumps.
The tracts at Cedar Bluff Road and Kingston Pike are some of the last large tracts of undeveloped land on Kingston Pike.
