There was an interesting discussion at a Knox Heritage party last week, brought to us by Moxley’s Blue Streak blog. Marshall Stair, son of Dorothy and Caesar Stair, was being touted as a city mayoral candidate sometime in the future.
Stair, a downtown attorney, grew up in the same zip code as the last two mayors of Knoxville.
We don’t know if it’s related, but some of the potential mayoral candidates from his old neighborhood have been voting for the Ten-Year Plan to End Chronic Homelessness. That’s the plan, that at one point, included housing at Lakeshore Park, a place near and dear to the Stair family and their friends who proposed it, promoted it, and protect it.
