Walk into this Bearden business, more colorful in decor than any mall shop, and more comfortable, and you may have the impression you’re visiting a friendly neighbor. Albeit perhaps a neighbor with an unusual interest in what you look like. Many of their customers are repeat visitors, a reputation that’s important to Luttrell. The shop, which offers on-site optometrist exams, carries mainly the big brand-name frame designers—LaFont, Polo, Versace—but Luttrell thinks of his store as a little more artsy than some spectacle purveyors. Lundy, the resident Scotty, helps put folks at ease. “She’s our top seller,” admits proprietor Bobby Luttrell.
