The Fort Sanders Stakeholders meeting will take place on Thursday, March 4. The first of what are to be quarterly meetings between members of the Fort Sanders community, the event will provide an opportunity to review the long-range plans for the area and will feature presentations from Metropolitan Planning Commission staff. There will also be a presentation on the conversion of Laurel Avenue from Wilbur Smith Associates and the Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center.
The meeting begins at 3 p.m. at Ballroom B of UT’s Visitor Center, 2704 Kingston Pike.
On March 10, the City of Knoxville will hold its 4th annual free small business clinic. Offered through a partnership with the Tennessee Small Business Development Centers, Sun Trust Bank, and Pellissippi State Community College, this year’s event is an interactive seminar focused on strategic planning entitled “Marketing Boot Camp.” Participants are encouraged to bring their advertising materials to the workshop for feedback.
The event begins at 8:30 a.m. at the Magnolia Campus of Pellissippi State, the old Catholic High Building at 1610 E. Magnolia Ave.
