Overdue Show Review
The Tennessee Theater is one of the prettiest restored old theaters I have ever seen. It is nicer than the Alabama Theater (yeah, I said it). It was a beautiful background for the lasers.
Yep, lasers. Who brings lasers on a first tour of mid-sized venues? Adam F--king Lambert, that’s who. But before I get to that, some words about the openers and the audience...
The audience! I don’t know how else to describe it, but the Knoxville audience was like seeing Prince in the 80’s. You had all ages, races, genders, and sexualities. Yes, Adam’s older women fans were there (and sparkly, it was awesome), but so were their daughters and granddaughters, the husbands of fans, and tons of adoreable boys in eyeliner. sweetwaterpink asked a lot of the boys about it, and the most common answer she got was “my girlfriend did it for me”. There was also an Adam impersonator everyone was getting pictures with. It was also one of the nicest, most fun audiences I’ve been a part of in a long time.
