Wine to Help Locals Dine

Sipping fine wine will benefit a fine cause: Second Harvest Food Bank. Campbell Station Wine and Spirits will inaugurate its series of wine education seminars, “Second Saturdays for Second Harvest,” on July 10 from 4 p.m.-6 p.m at Granite & Marble Works Showroom, 707 N. Campbell Station Rd., with monetary donations ($10 suggested) going to Second Harvest Food Bank. “Many customers get comfortable with one varietal, one region, or one winery. This event gives them a chance to explore,” says store co-owner Gene Treacy. July’s event will feature eight selections distributed by Knox Beverage, including Gloria Ferrer Champagne, Kali Hart Chardonnay, Jaqk Merlot, and Newton Claret. Kroger Marketplace in Farragut will provide cheese, meat and fruit platters.
