Next Friday, Feb. 5, the newly formed KUB Tree Trim Policy Review Panel—a committee whose name is so bureaucratically dull that KUB’s own public relations department couldn’t get it right in its press release (“Trim Tree Policy Review Panel”)—will have its organizational meeting from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The public is welcome to attend but won’t be permitted to comment until after lunch, so if you haven’t sewn shut your ears during those four hours of watching 15 people discuss how to organize a committee to deal with this issue, there’s your sweet reward.
But... wait... there’s... more. A public listening session will follow on Feb. 16 from 6 to 8 p.m. That’s a ways off, and Lord knows those opprobrious tree trimmers won’t rest until they’ve mangled your prize magnolia. So if you’ve really got nothing else to keep you busy in life—no charities that need volunteers, no lost youths to mentor, no grandchildren to spoil—go ahead and e-mail the committee at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Both the Feb. 5 and Feb. 16 meetings take place at KUB Corporate Headquarters, 445 S. Gay St., in the first floor meeting room near the lobby.
