As we went to press on Tuesday, Knoxville financial guru Robert Loest was hospitalized after a sudden and severe heart attack. Loest—whose financial investment strategies were once described by The New York Times as “radically esoteric”—also became known as a champion of urban living, always ready and willing to discuss his ideas for revitalizing downtown Knoxville.
