We hear Travis Brickey, the TDOT guy who was the point man for SmartFix40 as spokesman for the regional office, will join the public relations staff at TVA. Brickey scored points with local media for frequent updates on the project that closed I-40 in downtown Knoxville for over a year.
TVA has considered hiring some additional PR help since the catastrophic ash spill in Kingston last year.
Speculation about Brickey’s replacement at the Tennessee Department of Transportation includes a prominent member in local television news.
