Eric Lee Hosts Improv Sessions at Pilot Light

Rock Fight, a new regular series of improv sessions at Pilot Light, saw members of local bands Fecal Japan, Woman, Yung Life, Double Muslims, and Army vs Navy perform last Sunday in rotations of two- and three-person improvisational groups. Double Muslim guitarist Eric Lee began curating the event, which he equates to “a pick-up game of basketball,” earlier this year. Lee says he hopes Rock Fight will spur connections and interesting musical interactions between local musicians. He’s committed to keeping it a regular, recurring event.

“It’s not the most eventful thing in the world, but I think it matters,” Lee says.

After a break this weekend, Rock Fight will continue on most Sundays at Pilot Light around 4 p.m. Audiences are welcome, and admission is free.
