Chalk one up for Midway taxpayers, real people with “lame” ideas, remaining greenspaces, and those seven leaders who stood with the collective David to defeat this perpetual Goliath. [See Citybeat.] Now, let’s get on with proposals to better utilize so-called “brownfields,” surplus or under-utilized public buildings and slabs of concrete, and any other spaces that can return to the tax rolls. According to Mayor Tim, we got ’em. Now, we need to do something creative and productive with them.
