• GOTR of Greater Knoxville began programming in the fall of 2005 with three sites and 23 third-fifth graders.
• 208 girls participated in fall 2008 and 230 in spring 2009, at more than 20 sites in Knox, Anderson, Blount, Loudon, and Sevier counties.
• Girls on Track programming began in spring 2008 to serve sixth-eighth grade girls.
The New Balance Girls on the Run 5K costs $15 (which includes race shirt and goodie bag) and is open to girls ages 8-14; registration begins at 1 p.m. For more information: gotrknoxville.org
