Mayor Bill Haslam performed very respectably, but was still beaten by an 18-year-old woman (Amanda Hardcastle, 01:41:04) and a retirement-age gent, 66-year-old David Birdwell (01:54:51), both of Knoxville. Lucky for Haslam, we’re talking the results of a foot race, not the governor’s race—the Half Marathon portion of the Covenant Health Knoxville Marathon held March 28.
