R.B. Morris is finally, after a 10-year-wait, putting out his next album. The acclaimed local singer/songwriter has announced that he’s recorded, with a band featuring his long-time collaborator Hector Qirko on guitar, the tracks for Spies, Lies, and Burning Eyes, which will be Morris’ third album. It’s his first since Zeke and the Wheel in 1999, and his first music release at all since the EP Empire in 2007.
Morris says Spies, Lies is currently being mastered. He’s scheduled to perform at the Laurel Theater on Friday, Nov. 20.
Copies of the new album can be pre-ordered at rbmorris.com for $15.
