BANG YOUR HEAD: Royal Bangs' new album, Let It Beep, finds the band more focused and having more fun.

In even more Royal Bangs news, the band is heading out for a two-month national tour after tonight’s CD release show at the Catalyst in the Old City with I Need Sleep and Culture Vulture. The trek in support of Let It Beep, set for national release on Audio Eagle Records on Sept. 15, will take the Bangs through the Midwest to Washington and Oregon, down through California, across Texas back to the Southeast, then up the East Coast and back for another run through the Midwest. They’ll play some of the most popular clubs in the country, including Schuba’s in Chicago, Emo’s in Austin, Texas, the Earl in Atlanta, TT the Bear’s in Cambridge, Mass., and the Mercury Lounge in New York. They’ll be touring with Brooklyn labelmates Tigercity and, on later dates, with Drummer, a new group featuring Patrick Kearney of the Black Keys, who also owns Audio Eagle.
